Unlock Growth and Engagement for Your Small Business with Social Media Management in 2025
This post might sound a little promotional and self-serving, but even if I was to step away from social media right now I would still highly recommend that your local business was to invest in social media management in 2025. I mean, I would recommend it at any time, but in 2025 I think there is going to be even more of a reason for business owners to hand over the reigns of their social media to someone who knows what they are doing.
Expertise
It’s said over and over again (because it is true) but social media platforms are constantly evolving - new platforms, new features, new algorithms, new metrics, there is always new, new, new! This is because the platforms need to stay current and attempt to always be ahead of their competitors, but it makes it difficult for business owners who don’t have time to constantly be on top of all the new changes. As someone who lives and breathes social media I even find it difficult to always be on top of all the new, I spend hours every week researching and consuming educational content to ensure that I am on top of the current best practices, only for that to change not long later. I can not imagine how a business owner who has a whole business to run would be able to also stay on top of this, it would be impossible!
Investing in a social media manager means you are investing in someone to stay on top of all of the new for you. They spend hours upon hours living and breathing their craft so you don’t have too. They are an expert in the latest trends and best practices, they know how to create engaging content, they understand the platforms, they understand the algorithms, they know how to optimise your online presence to increase visibility and awareness.
Efficiency
Along the same lines as expertise is the efficieny aspect of investing in a social media manager. No doubt, as a business owner you are incredibly busy, your time is valuable. By hiring a social media manager you are allowing yourself to focus on the other important areas of your business. Managing a successful social media account involves many different factors - content creation, writing a caption, scheduling, monitoring, analyising, engaging -having a social media manager to handle all of these different tasks will free up more of your time.
Brand Messaging
Consistent brand messaging across all of your social media platforms is SO important when it comes to having a recogniseable brand. It is the foundation of your online marketing. As a social media manager I spend a lot of time ensuring that my client accounts have a consistent brand voice and message across their social media. This involves having a strategy in place, and knowing how to execute that strategy. Consistency across your platforms is going to help build trust and credibility, as well as increase brand loyalty and sales.
Engagement
Do you have time to reply to all your comments? To find seek out your ideal audience and engage with them in a meaningful way? This is an area where businesses often fall behind because they just don’t have the time to engage. Engaging is liking, sharing, commenting, reposting, mentioning - it’s all of that and more. Engaging is the key to building essential relationships on your social media accounts. If you’re not spending time engaging at least five days per week you are missing out on valuable connections with your community. Different social media managers offer different packages that will include varying times allotted to engagement, even a small amount of engagement is better than none at all!
Analysing Results
Do you open up Meta Business Suite and have no idea what you’re looking at? Perhaps you’ve never even opened up the analytics tab before? A social media manager spends more time than they care to admit analysing and scruitining the results of their work. These results are what informs your ongoing social media strategy (which is not a set and forget thing) and any future campaigns you may choose to run. Key metrics we look at include engagement rates, reach, clicks and if relevant, conversions. This all helps us understand what is working and what isn’t working and helps us adapt accordingly.
NOW is a great time to invest in a social media manager that aligns with your business and its goals and objectives to start seeing the rewards in 2025!
